Frederick PD could use your help!

During the past few weeks, Frederick Police have been called to investigate several reported incidents of vandalism. Irrigation lines and surface water lines west of Milavec Lake have been punctured, as have some irrigation lines north of Bella Rosa Parkway on Silver Birch Blvd. The restrooms at Centennial Park were destroyed sometime Saturday night, leaving water running out from under the doors. These acts have resulted in hundreds of dollars in damages being done.
Several features at FRA have been tagged with graffiti, marked or otherwise destroyed and at least one of the new chainsaw sculptures on the Legacy Trail has been pushed over.
We are asking for the public’s help. If you have any information on these or any other crimes, please contact the Frederick Police Department at 720.382.5700 or contact Norther Colorado Crime Stoppers. During the month of July surface water lines west of Milavec Lake in the Town of Frederick were vandalized. Person(s) unknown damaged these lines by cutting and puncturing with a sharp instrument, doing costly damage to the lines. Any information leading to the conviction of those responsible would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Frederick PD at 720.652.4222.

Weld County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Shooting On February 18, 2017, at approximately 4:30 pm, the Weld County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 11000 block of WCR 18 near Ft. Lupton to a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived on scene they found that an adult male victim had been struck through the right shoulder by a bullet of an unknown caliber while he was riding an ATV in the area. The victim was transported by ambulance to North Colorado Medical Center; the injury was not life threatening. Deputies are currently conducting a thorough investigation of the incident. There is no threat to the safety of the public at this time. This is an active investigation, and further information will be released as it becomes available.
